How to set up IP address of PC DVR on Windows XP
STEP 1
- Double Click
MyComputer
on the desktop > Right click on
My Network Places
on the other place window >
Properties
STEP 2
- Right Click on
Local Area Connection
> Click on
Properties

- Double click
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
STEP 4
- Select
Use the following IP address
> Enter
IP address
assign by your ISP or Router(The figure is base on D-Link Router) > Enter
Subnet Mask
(255.255.255.0 in most of case if you hook from a router & using a local IP)

Enter
Default Gateway
(ususally your router IP address) >Select
Use the following DNS server address
> Enter
Prefferred & Alternate DNS server
( mostly provided your ISP or you can find them in the current STATS of your router Setting) > Click on
OK
> Click on
OK of the Local Area Connection Properties

Test the Internet connection.
Note:
The IP address list here is base one D-Link Router. It may very from different brand of the router. Please contact your Manufacturer of the router for more detail of the IP setting.
